Admittedly, I haven’t read the entire article, and I apologize if this makes my points mute. I have spent the largest portion of my career working for two national brands/corporations both of which cared deeply about the customer experience as well as the world around us. This may not be the norm, but I couldn’t help but to call this out.
The common thread with these companies was leadership. In both cases the culture that was driven from the top down was the everything is secondary to our customer and that if you take care of that everything else will take care of itself.
Another common thread was the the men at the top at each of these companies was God fearing and didn’t hesitate to express this. This is the main reason I chose to work and stay with these companies.
Anyway, I’ll stop here, but please consider that local companies are great, but the big employers can have as positive an impact on there employees, there communities and our world.
Thank you and God bless…
