Forgiving has been very hard. Especially if the other one is not sorry for what he has done.
Sam, thank you very much for pointing this. It’s very true: without forgiveness it’s difficult to have the relationship with another one. In the movie “Into the wild” in exchange between old man and main hero on the mountain there is such a sentence: “When you forgive you love and when you love God’s light shines upon you”.
I like this sentence very much, but despite it sounds nice I know that without God it’s really difficult to me to forgive. Need to pray a lot for it.
God bless you!
Forgiveness, a subject that is overlooked due to our pride and should be fully understood before we rely on our primal sense of reasoning with others.
Forgiveness really is the key to the path that leads to Christ. I once heard a priest say, “Forgiveness does not mean Reconciliation.” Meaning, you must forgive, let go of the hurt, the grudge, but we need not to have a relationship or a friendship with that person that hurt you. This is an important distinction to acknowledge.
I appreciate your emails.
I like the BENEDICT option, too. I am looking at Our Lady of Guadeloupe monastery, Silver City, New Mexico.
Thank you, Mr. Guzman
Brilliant. Thank you.
