“It is right that you should begin again every day. There is no better way to complete the spiritual life than to be ever beginning it over again.”
— Saint Francis de Sales
I needed that today. I am a mother of small children and have felt at the end of my rope regarding this never ending cycle. Thank you for your site and your good works.
And just when the empty nest syndrome begins you have grandchildren. We have been blessed with 16 of them so far and in our simple, small home it looks like a hurricane passed through with each visit…I wouldn’t have it any other way!!
Great post. I’ve got four children. This is constant war against the law of entropy indeed. Neverthelsess I noticed that this could bring good friut. As a man I have this awful tendency to look after different kind of pleasures, comfort and sloth. If you have children you can be a saint almost automatically 🙂 You do not have time to waste. If you won’t tidy up your house it will be disaster! Man is not created for comfort and laziness. Sadly, modern shape of the world is reinforcing bad tendencies in men.
Thank you. Just stumbled upon your post here, nice analogy.
Thank you Sam for this wonderful post. God bless you and your family.
Great article! This is why I am too embarrassed to invite any friends over- my place is a crazy mess with my 3 kids too! Have a Blessed Lent!
So true, the intro sounds like my house daily, if only the mess on our souls were so easily noticeable as the cheerios underfoot.
Great message Sam! God bless you and your family….
Beautifully-put. Great piece.
