I just wanted to say, thank you for all the posts! They’re very helpful. I love how you detail the way each sin infiltrates in us and how you make the difference between them. I’m particularly looking forward to seeing how envy is different to greed, and have a few questions: Sloth makes one covet distractions to forget one’s tasks, and lust does the same but it is more about the body. I feel like lust is about more than sex and that there are some subtle distinctions between these two sins. Is wanting to escape in drugs from sloth or lust? What do you think?
A particularly interesting question is related to how so many self-deceive themselves with romantic illussions of life which leave out hard to process realities. I’d say that’s from lust, but I’m not sure. What do you think?
Also, where does the consuming thirst for knowledge come from? Gluttony?
What would also be interesting is to show the role of fear in all the sins…
I also can’t wait to see how you link the sins with the virtues, how each virtue acts on the sin and how the virtues are related.
God bless you!
